Shashi Kant Sharma, Defence Secretary Appointed as the New Comptroller & Auditor General of India
The President of India has appointed Shri Shashi Kant Sharma, IAS, as the Comptroller & Auditor General of India, in terms of Article 148 (1) of the Constitution of India. Shri Sharma is presently holding the post of Defence Secretary in the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. He will be taking over the charge of the Comptroller & Auditor General of India from 23rd May, 2013.
