 Shri Vijay Chhibber is New Secretary of Road Transport and Highways

Shri Vijay Chhibber assumed charge of Secretary ,Ministry of Road Transport And Highways here today. He replaces Shri A.K.Upadhyay, IAS (BH:75) on his retirement yesterday. Shri V.Chhibber is an IAS officer of 1978 batch and belongs to Manipur Tripura Cadre. He is on central deputation and was holding the charge of Secretary, Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare from 10.09.2012 to 31.1.2013.

He had earlier been Special Secretary & FA Ministry of Road Transport and Highways & Ministry of Shipping. Shri Chhibber is an alumni of St. Stephens College, Delhi University and belongs to Haryana.
